Expanding Horizons and Moving Ahead of Reform
2009 will be remembered as a remarkable year. The economy was in steep decline and the debate about national healthcare reform was nearing its crescendo. Many organizations struggled to adapt. For Hill Physicians, our long-term strategies were timelier than ever, delivering strong financial results, an expanded market presence and innovations that keep us at the forefront of accountable care delivery.
Highlights of 2009 Include:

UCSF Medical Group joined Hill Physicians, adding nearly 20,000 members to Hill early in 2010 and paves the way for further growth in San Francisco this year;

A partnership with Blue Shield and CHW created a “virtual ACO” that will substantially reduce costs of CalPERS enrollees;

Over $32 million was paid in performance compensation to our doctors for improving efficiency and medical care; and,
-
We achieved $4.67 million in net income on $419 million in revenue.
