Ascender™: Automated Reminders to Patients

Getting patients in for preventive screenings is easier with Ascender.  Using best clinical practices, the software identifies when a person is due or overdue for tests.  This is useful in three ways:

  • Run an Ascender report just before a patient comes in to see if there are any overdue or upcoming screenings that should be conducted.  If so, you can arrange for them in one convenient appointment rather than asking the patient to make a separate trip.
  • Have Ascender identify patients who have not been to see you recently and are overdue for screenings.  Your practice can then contact them or you can have Hill Physicians send them a letter as a reminder. 
  • Identify corrections that need to be made in health records.  With Ascender, PCPs no longer need to complete paper abstraction and/or attestation forms. Instead you can submit data electronically. (Please note: Faxed documentation still is required.)

Ascender benefits patients because it makes it more likely that health problems can be identified and treated earlier, and it benefits your practice by making you more likely to achieve your preventive screening benchmarks for PMF and P4P revenue.
