Joyce Appelbaum, MPH

Managing Migraines
Joyce Appelbaum has been a health educator for the past 20 years, teaching topics ranging from stress management to the mind/body connection. She has also championed women’s health programs, including midlife issues. She has been an instructor for Hill Physicians since 2004. She received her master’s degree in public health from the University of California at Berkeley.

Sandra Campbell, MA, MFT
Coping With Chronic Conditions
Sandra Campbell is a retired marriage and family therapist. She has 25 years of experience as a health educator and behavioral health coordinator for a Bay Area hospital system, where she helped establish guidelines for psych-educational programs. She has additional training in mind/body work, including eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), hypnotherapy and neurobehavioral pain management. She also has experience helping hospice patients and their loved ones cope with end-of-life issues.

Leslie Kaneko, RD

Leslie Kaneko has been a registered dietitian for 11 years and in private practice in Sacramento for the past 7 years. Her background includes community nutrition, nutrition research, diabetes education and public health and wellness. She has been a Hill Physicians instructor and contracted dietitian/diabetes educator since 2000.
