Two Great Choices: NetValue and Access+
Hill Physicians is available through the Blue Shield’s NetValue and Access+ plans.
In Region 1A, CalPERS members can select an innovative option that combines the strengths of Hill Physicians Medical Group, CHW’s Mercy and Methodist hospitals and Blue Shield of California. This NetValue plan provides comprehensive coverage, low monthly premiums and co-pays, and high-quality doctors and hospitals.
Region 1A NetValue enrollees choose a Hill Physicians primary care doctor in Sacramento, Placer and El Dorado counties. Any non-emergency inpatient services are provided by Mercy San Juan, Mercy General Hospital, Methodist Hospital or Mercy Hospital of Folsom.
The Blue Shield Access+ HMO plan provides the same benefits as the Net Value plan, but also includes the ability to self-refer to specialists, using Blue Shield's Access+ Specialist referral feature. With an Access+ SpecialistSM, you can self-refer to a participating specialist in the same medical group for a fixed office visit copayment. The Access+ Satisfaction service team will refund your office visit copayment if you are ever dissatisfied with your visit.
