Colorectal Cancer Screening

Everyone starting at the age of 50 years.
Regular screenings can help find pre-cancerous polyps in the colon so they can be removed before they develop into cancer.  Screenings can also find cancer early when it is easier to treat. Learn more about Colorectal Cancer Screenings.

The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommends colorectal cancer screening starting at the age of 50 years.

  • Colonoscopy is an exam that inserts a tiny video camera attached to a long and flexible tube into the rectum and colon to view any changes or abnormalities.  This type of colorectal cancer screening is good for up to 10 years unless otherwise noted by your doctor.
  • FOBT (fecal occult blood test) is a non-invasive test used to check stool samples for hidden blood.  Occult blood in the stool may indicate colon cancer or polyps in the colon or rectum, though not all cancers or polyps bleed.  Therefore, this type of colorectal cancer screening is good for only one year.

Educate yourself about Colorectal Cancer.

Please contact one of our Health Navigators to schedule your cancer screening appointment or request a FOBT kit.

Cervical Cancer Screening

93% of cervical cancer could be prevented by screening and the HPV vaccine. Women ages 21-65 should be screened every 3 years. Learn more about cervical cancer:
